Top winning buhund! Ch Kyon's Fredige Siv (Ch Treholmens Drillo X Ch Kyon's Freidige heidi ) finished off the year with multiple group wins and 3 all breed best in shows! She is now top winning buhund in Canadian history. We are so proud of SIV and of her owner handler Dawne Deeley for making sure that Siv continues to be such strong contender in the herding group! New herding instinct certficate! We are delighted to find out that Joey aka Kyon's Fantastiske Lille Joey HIC (Ch Leitegardens Frode Jarl X Ch Kyon's Fantastiske lys og liv) achieved his herding instinct test this fall.... doing what the buhunds do best, making use of their herding drive which is so integral to this breed's character! | Another Herding instinct Certificate for a Kyon buhund! Not just a pretty face: Morgan receives her HIC, on her very first try on Saturday June 4th/05. Morgan aka Kyon's Sweet Morgan la Fey HIC (Ch Treholmen's Drillo X Ch Norrhund Sote Fame at Kyon) went to the Norwegian Buhund club of America National Specialty, where she was awarded a first in the 12-18 months class... as well as nicely making us all proud by her performance in the pre-novice obedience ring. The next day Morgan then traveled with her owner Dianne Lange to Delaware, where she then easily passed the herding instinct test - with flying colours! We are exceptionally proud of Morgan, who - besides being such a pretty face - also is living proof what a buhund is specifically made for - by displaying her incredible versatility as well as her herding ability, by expertly working those sheep, even with minimal training! Thank you Dianne Lange for making sure Morgan does such as good job, in whatever she endeavors to try her paws at! In the coming years Morgan will be out again in the Conformation ring, in the Obedience ring, as well as the agility ring. Currently she is also working hard at honing those exceptional herding skills! |

Another all breed Best In Show for SIV !! SIV, aka BIS Ch Kyon's Freidige Siv HIT (Ch Treholmens Drillo X Ch Kyon's Freidige Heidi) continues to make Norwegian buhund history in Canada... With her co-owner Dawne Deeley, at the other end of the lead, these two are "rounding up" more wins than any other Buhund has ever done in Canadian history, to date - the latest win being another spectacular Best in Show. This makes Siv the only Norwegian buhund that has won two all breed BIS, as well as the only buhund female that has had a ranking amongst the top 10 herding breeds in the country!! Siv (according to the latest statistics) is currently in the no 8 herding dog in Canada -- and we are hoping for her to finish in the same style, as she has started! Our deep gratitude goes out to Dawne Deeley for her tireless work on behalf of both Siv, in particular - and the Norwegian Buhund breed, in general.
